Testing Services logo

The following tests are available at the Test Center:

  • CPT (College Placement Test)
    The CPT is an entry-level examination that tests English and mathematics skills. Students scoring below college level on parts of the CPT will be placed into appropriate remedial courses.

  • CLAST (College Level Academic Skills Test)
    The CLAST is a college-level test of communications and mathematics skills. It may be required for the attainment of an associate in arts degree...
  • CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
    CLEP examinations are a way to receive college credit for what you already know. They are an alternative to having to pay for and sit through unnecessary courses when you are already familiar with the material covered.
  • Department Credit by Examination
    Some departments at Lake City Community College offer an equivalency exam for courses for which CLEP exams are not available.
  • GED (General Educational Development)
    The GED is a battery of five tests given to Florida residents of at least 18 years of age who are out of school and wish to have the equivalent of a high school diploma.
  • Nursing
    Our testing center provides the PNET, RNET and RNET-Bridge for those studying to receive nursing certificates.
  • TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education)
    The TABE is a requirement for those interested in receiving a vocational certificate at Lake City Community College...

Please note that the SAT and ACT are not offered at the Testing Center. Please follow the links in the preceeding sentence for information about these exams.
