College Placement Test

The College Placement Test is a computer-based test consisting of multiple choice questions. The test covers reading comprehesion, english language skills, and elementary algebra.

How much does it cost?      

Free to In-District Dual-Enrollment and LCCC students. Out of district Dual Enrollment and all others there is a charge of $30.00 (Cash, Mastercard/Visa).

When is the test given?

CPT is given on a walk-in basis. First come, first serve, every Tues and Thurs at 9:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m.

How long does it take?

The CPT is an untimed test. Generally most finish the test in about one and a half to two hours.

What do I need to bring?

You will need to bring a Photo ID. It is recommended that you leave your cell phone in your car.

Are calculators allowed?

Calculators are prohibited on the CPT, however scratch paper and pencil are provided.

When do I get my results?

You will recieve a copy of your results as soon as you finish.
