Where Can I Get Money for School?

All students shoud complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) available from the financial aid office. This is the primary source of assistance for all students.

Additional Assistance:

Students with disabilities may be eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Plan for Achieving Self Support (PASS). Contact the local Social Security Administration office or go to http://www.ssa.gov/disability.

Students with disabilities may be eligible for State Vocational Rehabilitation Services. This agency helps individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and retain employment. To determine eligibility for services, contact VR through your local workforce board. In Columbia County, the number is 386-754-3096.

The Division of Blind Services of the Florida State Board of Education provides services for students meeting standards for blindness.  The office that serves Lake City Community College is located in Gainesville, FL and may be reached at 1-800-443-0908.
