Eligibility for Accommodations and Services
Accommodations
Accommodations are based upon the student being "qualified," or able to perform the essential objectives of the program or course.
Accommodations requested by the student must be "reasonable." The accommodation must be an alternate way of displaying, conveying, or communicating knowledge or mastery of an objective in a course. An accommodation cannot lower the standards or change the objectives of the program or course.
All accommodations are based on individual needs; what one person needs may not be what another needs. The only limitation is that the accommodations relate to the person's disability.
