Welcome to the RV Training Institute at Lake City Community College, Lake City, Florida. In partnership with the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), and the national RV Dealers Association (RVDA), we are pleased to offer this distance learning training program exclusively for the RV Industry.
We are able to deliver training programs directly to member dealerships and other industry-related sites throughout the U.S. and Canada through Internet Broadband by way of our uplink facility at the University of South Florida in Tampa. A variety of programming is available for all occupations within the RV Industry, as well as manufacturer and supplier product-specific clinics and workshops. The program is an in-house, mentor-lead, group-learning training opportunity where costs associated with travel and time out of the shop are eliminated.
The only requirements needed for participation in the RV Distance Learning program is a computer with high-speed internet connection. You will also need an "out" video cable connected to your computer and directly to a television making group learning a reality. Participating dealerships can purchase course textbooks from RVIA at a discounted price.
Each subscription location will have access to all available training for a full curriculum year from August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010.

PROGRAM INFORMATION
RV TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION PREP COURSE: The Certification Prep Course is designed to prepare the service technician for the RVDA/RVIA Certification test. Your subscription includes unlimited access to 40 training sessions, reviews, and test preparation sections, which are available anytime throughout the program year to suit your operation and determined pace.
ADVANCED/MANUFACTURER SPECIFIC COURSE: This program offers advanced product-specific training from RV manufacturers and suppliers from within the RV industry.
GENERAL MANAGER TRAINING PROGRAMS: New offerings designed specifically for RV General Managers and Management Personnel. Currently there are three programs available: Florida Red Flag Law, Florida LP Licensing Information and Florida Lemon Law Issues.
RV GREETER - RECEPTIONIST PROGRAM: Included with DLN registration.
SERVICE ADVISOR TRAINING: This is a three hour program available at no additional cost to RV Distance Learning Network participants . This is an excellent program for your veteran service advisors and your new hires. Andrea Blackmon, our presenter, has over 10 years as a working Service Advisor and does an excellent job of presenting the RVDA Learning Center Curriculum designed to prepare folks for the on-line Service Advisor certification test.
