Mission Statement

The mission of Lake City Community College is to provide superior, yet affordable programs of quality education and to enrich the lives of the citizens of North Central Florida.

Long Term Goals

  1. Create and maintain a collegial climate of quality and excellence that pervades all college activities and provides the basis for organizational pride and achievement.
  2. Provide superior instruction leading to an Associate Degree.
  3. Provide superior programs preparing students for direct entry into high demand occupations.
  4. Provide superior, comprehensive student services and programs that promote the development of the whole student.
  5. Promote access to educational and empowering opportunities for all students.
  6. Apply state of the art technology to teach and serve students.
  7. Develop a skilled, diverse, enthusiastic, forward-looking faculty and staff.
  8. Enrich community life by promoting economic and cultural opportunities.
  9. Maintain economic stability by pursuing policies of fiscal responsibility and developing new resources.
  10. Develop private gifts to support the college with scholarships and program enhancement funds through the college foundation.
