About Me

I was born in Charleston, SC and grew up a little further north in Florence, SC. At the age of 15, I made the difficult decision to leave my High School and family and attend the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics [a public boarding school].
After graduating in 1999, I attended Clemson University and received my BS in Electrical Engineering in 2002. I then moved to Gainesville, FL and originally pursued a PhD in EE at the University of Florida, but decided to stop with my MS in 2005.
At that point I was unsure what I wanted to do professionally, especially after moving to Lake City in June, 2005. To occupy my time and make some money I began adjuncting at LCCC in August, 2005. I immediately fell in love with the work, and as they say "the rest is history."
Since Fall 2006 I have been attending University of North Florida in Jacksonville earning credits towards my MS in Mathematics.
After I finish I am considering an Educational Doctorate at UF.
