COURSE TITLE: BASIC LAW ENFORCEMENT (scenario based instruction)
COURSE DESCRIPTION: This 770 hour course is designed to provide the student with the state required training, which allows the student to sit for the State of Florida FDLE Certification Examination.
NEXT COURSE OFFERED:
DAY class starting July 28, 2008 from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday – Thursday. Some weekend training dates will be required. NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS.
There will be a MANDATORY Class meeting on Monday, July 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. Please be prepared to order and pay for class uniforms at this meeting. The approximate cost will be $80.00 for 3 shirts, 1 jacket, and 1 cap.
EVENING class starting July 28, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Monday – Friday. Some weekend training dates will be required. NOW TAKING APPLICATIONS.
There will be a MANDATORY Class meeting on Monday, July 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Please be prepared to order and pay for class uniforms at this meeting. The approximate cost will be $80.00 for 3 shirts, 1 jacket, and 1 cap.
REGISTRATION: Limited to the following:
- Must pass Law Enforcement B.A.T. (Basic Abilities Test) prior to being accepted into the program. Test offered at LCCC, Criminal Justice Training Center, $40.00 cash, picture I.D. and self addressed, stamped envelope.
- Student must be 19 years of age.
- Student must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have been honorably discharged from the military. (If applicable)
- Must pass a physical Examination by a physician, including as EKG.
- Student must be of good moral character and not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. Must also provide three (3) letters of references.
- Must submit to a fingerprint criminal history background check. The Cost is $50.00 in cash to be turned in with fingerprint card.
- Must admit to Lake City Community College through the Admissions Office.
- Must interview with the Director of the Criminal Justice Training Center prior to acceptance.

FEES: In-state Residents: Currently the fees are approximately $2,000.00. Due to F.D.L.E. adding additional courses into the present curriculum, the cost may be increased for the next class start date. Required uniforms will be at the cost of the student and not included with program fees.
INSTRUCTORS: FDLE State Certified instructors are currently employed by Lake City Community College.
LOCATION: Classes are held in Olustee at the Criminal Justice Training Center, 25030 US Hwy 90, Olustee, FL 32072.
