Lake City Community College offers what many industry professionals agree to be the most comprehensive program dedicated specifically to teaching the repair, maintenance, and management of highly specialized golf course equipment.

Started as part of LCCC's outstanding Golf Course Operations curriculum, industry demand for specialized individuals who could repair and manage golf course equipment dictated that Turf Equipment Management be offered as a separate, one-year certificate program.

Turf Equipment management is taught on the main campus of Lake City Community College in the first known building of its type ever designed specifically for turf equipment training.  The modern 15,000 sq. ft. structure is completely equipped and professionally staffed in order to provide top quality training to students.

Students are thoroughly trained to repair and maintain all types of equipment and to organize and manage maintenance facilities in just nine months.  They are assigned to a specific golf course where they participate in on-the -job training for three more months.  At the end of the complete twelve-month program, the student is certified as a Turf Equipment Manager able to maintain a wide range of equipment found on virtually every golf course in the world.

We go beyond the realm of just training.  After the student is certified, Lake City Community College will assist in finding gainful employment as a Turf Equipment Manager.  Because of tremendous industry demand for trained turf equipment specialists our history of placement is 100%
