The Forest Operations Program at Lake City Community College culminates with a college credit certificate. This degree is not or never has been intended to be a transfer degree towards a Baccalaureate degree. However, there are various course options within the degree available to students who may desire to prepare themselves for future academic work if this is of interest.
Beginning in the Fall of 2006, the Forest Operations Certificate can be incorporated into an Associate of Science in Agribusiness Technology Degree if the student or potential employer desires.
Neither the Forest Operations Certificate nor Agribusiness Technology degree is intended to be a transfer degree toward a BS degree. If a student desires to pursue a degree in Forestry above the AS degree level, while the courses in this program will give the student a great technical foundation for that pursuit, the majority of this course work has not historically been accepted into other BS Forestry programs.
