Have you ever considered a career in agriculture?  Lake City Community College is offering an associate in science (A.S.) degree in Agribusiness Management (AGBM).  Please take a look at this degree - You will like what you see!

First, what is Agribusiness, or what is farming for that matter?  Agribusiness has many definitions but is narrowly defined as the sum total of all operations involved in the manufacture and distribution of farm supplies.  Think about this for just a moment.  This includes the input sector to the production operation son the farm as well as the output sector from production of farming operations.

Agribusiness goes far beyond the farm gate.  It's not just farming anymore!  This career demands a rigorous study in agricultural technical core subjects as well as basic business courses.

Employment with good starting salaries can be found in both the input and output industry sectors such as fruit and vegetable, environmental horticulture, forestry and forest products, landscape services, paper and paperbound, forest nurseries and timber tracts, agricultural inputs and support services, and food product manufacturing jus tot name a very few.  Jobs can be found form Miami to Pensacola and all points in between.

Industry professionals indicate that this degree will demand between $25,000 and $35,000 with the potential to earn more with experience.
