Financial Aid Suspension
Students who do not meet standard of progress after their probationary period will be suspended from financial aid. They will not be eligible to receive other financial aid until they have a cumulative 2.0 GPA and complete 70% of all classes attempted. However, a student may appeal to the financial aid committee for reinstatement to probationary status. Students, who do not complete any credits before the end of the semester, will automatically be suspended from financial aid. To be reconsidered they must appeal to the Financial Aid Committee for reinstatement to probationary status. Grades of F, W, N, U, I and AU will not be counted as satisfactory progress. Appeal forms can be picked up in the Financial Aid Office or downloaded from the Financial Aid website.
All work attempted at LCCC or any other prior institution, will be counted toward the determination of satisfactory progress whether the student received financial aid or not. Any LCCC student or any transfer student with a GPA of less than 2.0 must appeal to the Financial Aid Committee before receiving any type of financial aid for the first time.
Eligible students may receive financial aid no longer than 150% of the published program length to be measured in credit hours attempted or clock hours completed.
